Why do people feel the need to express their opinions through tacky vehicle decorations and licence plates. My favorite ones are the ones that say “choose life”. Nothing against pro lifers but do you really think that some woman or young girl driving behind you considering abortion is going to decide to keep her baby because of the fetus on your bumper or smiling kid behind the tag numbers on your plate? I doubt it…I really really do. It all seems like a big waist of time to me.
And another thing that “grind my gears” is when people put decals on the back of their cars and trucks that say “In Memory of______” fill in the blank. The phrase “In Memory of____” is meant for MEMORIALS. It is meant to say “This (park, tombstone, plaque, hospital wing, etc) was erected in memory of a person of note who has passed on. Your Range Rover was not manufactured in memory of anybody! The proper terminology if you absolutely must commemorate a deceased person on your vehicle would be “Rest in Peace” or something to that effect. I would rather you don’t do it at all…it’s silly, save it for the tombstone.
