I was watching the news today and I witnessed a video clip of Maria Sotomayor giving a talk on affirmative action. “I am the perfect affirmative action baby…” She says. “My grades were not comparable to my classmates…”. This woman admits on television that she was not as competent as other (whites) but yet she was still offered opportunities that she did not academically deserve. This is ridiculous!
I thought the last video of her slipping up by admitting that as supreme court justice her intentions would be to make policy rather than uphold presidence. You all remember that tape right? “This is where policy is made…” says Sotomayor before catching herself and trying to back step with a stream of stumbling words resembling; “Well you know what I mean….not that we make policy…um..but…”
